Case Study - WS Accountancy

The Firm

WS Accountancy is a single partner firm based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire with three employees. The firm offers tax advice and accountancy services to a wide range of individuals, sole traders, partners and SMEs also acting for a number of sub-contractors on the CIS scheme.

WS Accountancy acquired Digita Personal Tax, Corporation Tax, Accounts Production and Contact Management.

Matthew Walker said:

“My licence with my previous supplier was coming to an end and the cost of renewal came as a bit of a shock. I thought that if I got them over for a chat we could come to some agreement.

“The representative who came along was not very presentable and appeared to be totally disinterested in a practice of our size. He had a bad attitude and there was absolutely no flexibility in his terms & conditions.

“I searched the web and came up with Digita. They attracted my attention with their range of products but also because the Thomson Reuters name carries a lot of authority.

“We arranged a demonstration and I was very impressed. Everything was presented in a clear, professional yet very friendly manner.

“Digita’s software is very easy to use. My previous suppliers licence ran out on 31 October and we had the Digita suite installed and operating on 1 November. We were literally able to plug it in and get on with it.

“The support has been brilliant, from sales to installation; the process was managed in a very efficient, friendly way supported by regular contact. This has been underpinned since the IT staff took over. We are on a short sharp and very steep learning curve and their help has been first class – always on hand to answer the questions we raise.

“I have particularly benefited from Digita Contact Management where all the data and the ability to update it is in one place. The exciting thing about the software is that I know there is vast potential that we have yet to tap into – we’ve only tickled the basics but have progressed significantly after just one month which is a testimony both to the intuitive functionality of the software and the quality of the support we have received.”
