Accountancy firm FW Stephens to start tax year with Digita
City accountancy firm FW Stephens has opted to switch its accounting software from CCH to Digita for the next tax year.
The 12 partner firm currently uses CCH PersonalTax but has opted to switch to Digita Personal, Business and Trust Tax products. The firm has said that data migration was an issue with CCH and had decided to look into the market at other options.
FW Stephens General Manager Chris Madden said: 'We were faced with a major data migration issue as a result of the upgrading and training requirements of CCH PersonalTax, so it seemed a good time to look at the market.'
Other firms have switch from CCH to Digita this year. Smith & Williamson and Albert Goodman each swapped their technology providers earlier this year.
Simon Crompton, managing director of CCH said: 'We have had clients from Digita switch to our software.
'We are not complacent about this but you win some and you lose some. We haven't lost a huge number and we have a 96% / 97% retention rate and lots of clients have upgraded,' he added.
'We are offering pricing that is competitive and are trying to get the balance of quality and price right' Crompton said.
Digita, owned by publishers Thomson Reuters, will go live at the start of the next tax year at FW Stephens.
