DATABASE
MANAGEMENT

Digita Database Backup is a central point for managing the backup, restore and archive of Digita Products.

The ability to schedule backups has been added which allows a backup strategy to be created simply and efficiently to ensure the security of your data. A schedule removes the need for user intervention and therefore the risk that such an important part of your company's data protection is overlooked.

Please note, the facility to schedule automatic backups in the Digita Database Backup Tool will only be available to users of the full SQL Server versions. For SQL Express users wishing to schedule automatic backups please contact the Digita support desk for details.

Digita FileCabinet - Backing up Drawer Data

As with all existing Digita products we would recommend regularly backing up any documents that are saved to drawers within FileCabinet. FileCabinet has its own back up procedures outside of the Digita Database Backup tool. A guide document has been prepared to help you do this - please click here to read.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your data is backed up and any restore procedures work correctly.

This latest version of the Digita Database Backup tool that includes support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 will be included in all forthcoming product releases but is also available for you to download now so you can immediately begin to utilise the benefits this tool offers.

Digita Database Backup - 1.2 (build 136)

Size: 6.9MB

To install Digita Database Backup you should run the downloaded file directly on the machine that contains your product databases. It will automatically detect which products you have installed.
